The board or panel for forming plank linings has a sandwich construction with two end caps (2) of laminas of polyester-glass fiber, superficially polished and enclosing a multiplicity of high density polyurethane rectangular prisms, serpentined by a lamina of polyester/glass fiber. An elastomer is introduced into the assembly, settling in the polyurethane prisms. A U-shaped anti-corrosive metal strap (1) reinforces the external edges of the sandwich.
