Lens for vitreous-retinal surgery in ophthalmology, applicable to the extraction and replacement of the vitreous in patients who undergo operations for specific ocular affections, composed of a body made of cooling material in the form of a spherical cap, preferably with a uniform thickness, which has, along its central polar section, a centred coaxial circular fenestration. The material that forms the spherical cap is preferably made of polymer methacrylate. The size parameters that define the lens are as follows: diameter, 12 millimetres curvature radius of the concave side, 7.5 mm wall thickness, 0.5 to 1 mm deflection of the convex side, 2.7 mm diameter of the central fenestration, 4 mm. IMAGE The ophthalmic vitreous-retina surgery lens comprises a refringent spherical element of uniform thickness and with a coaxial central circular window. The lens is preferably made of polymer methacrylate. EMBODIMENT - The lens has: diameter 12, wall thickness 0.5-1, central window diameter 4 convexity radius 27 and concavity radius 7.5 mm respectively.
