CONTAINING CATALYSTS, based on the total weight of the catalyst between 0.1 and 6% by weight of cobalt, nickel or MIXTURES between 0.001 and 25% by weight of ruthenium, from 0 to 10% by weight copper and 0 5% BY WEIGHT OF PROMOTERS ON A POROUS metal oxide support. Preferably they contain from 0.1 to 3% by weight of cobalt and between 0.1 and 3% by weight of nickel.
