Tank for a sterile, portable, self-contained shower,containing a tank body provided with an opening and contain-ing a washing liquid inside a sterile pocket connected withan outlet opening of the tank which is sealed by a removableplug, a cartridge with a propulsive compressed gas and meansfor releasing the compressed gas outside of the cartridge,characterized in that the single strerile pocket has theshape of an elongated sausage having a cross-section withapproximately the same dimension as the dimension of anopening of the tank body and a length several times longerthan the height of the tank body, which extends in a zig-zag pattern inside the tank and in that a tube-shapedelement extends inside the pocket over a substantial lengthof same and is connected with an outlet opening of thepacket which is in communication with the outlet orifice ofthe tank.
