The invention relates to a method of predicting futuremeasurement values for handoff decisions in a mobile radiocommunication system. At discrete points of times,represented by an integer n, measured measurement values(s(n)) are fed to a predictor comprising an adaptive filter(F1), the filter coefficients (C(n)) of which are used toform estimates (~(n + L¦n)) of future measurement values(s(n + L)) at discrete points of time n + L, where L is apositive integer, on the basis of the measured measurementvalues.
