Radiated from each orbiting satellite of a satellitecommunication network to M cells (M representing an integer,such as thirty-seven) covered with a predetermined solidangle on the earth, M spot beams are identified by Midentification codes. In an earth station which may be aportable unit, a burst signal transmitter device comprises areceiver part receiving one of the spot beams as a receivedbeam at a reception time, for recognizing as a recognizedcode one of the identification codes that identifies thereceived beam, and a transmitter part for transmitting burstsignals at a transmission time delayed from the receptiontime by an offset amount selected by the recognized code fromM offset amounts predetermined for the identification codes.Preferably, the M offset amounts are stored in a memory.
