A DRYER-ADDED FABRIC TREATMENT ARTICLE OF MANUFACTURE CONTAINING ANTIOXIDANT AND SUNSCREEN COMPOUNDS FOR SUN-FADE PROTECTION OF FABRICS

The present invention relates to a dryer-added fabric treatment article ofmanufacturing to reduce the fading of fabrics from sunlight comprising: I) acomposition comprising: a) from about 5 % to about 75 %, by weight of thecomposition, of a sun-fade protection active selected from the groupconsisting of: (i) a non-fabric staining, light stable, antioxidant compoundpreferably containing at least one C8-C22 hydrocarbon fatty organic moiety;(ii) a non-fabric staining, light stable, sunscreen compound; and (iii)mixtures thereof; b) from about 10 % to about 95 % by weight of thecomposition of a fabric conditioning compound; and II) a substrate, on whichsaid composition is attached, which provides for release of an effectiveamount of said sun-fade protection active and said fabric conditioningcompound onto fabrics in an automatic laundry dryer at automatic laundry dryeroperating temperatures; wherein said antioxidant compound is a solid having amelting point of less than about 80 ~C, or a liquid at a temperature of lessthan about 40 ~C; and wherein said sunscreen compound absorbs light at awavelength of from about 290 nm to about 450 nm and is a solid compound havinga melting point of from about 25 ~C to about 90 ~C, or a viscous liquid at atemperature of less than about 40 ~C.
