摘要

An ion exchange separation, recovery andregeneration process for the control of iron has beendeveloped to replace the conventional bleed streamprocess used in copper electrowinning. The processminimizes the loss of cobalt from the electrowinningcircuit and strips the iron into a sulfate-basedsolution suitable for leach solution makeup. Inaddition, this process can effect a lowering of thetotal iron concentration in the electrolyte circuit withan associated increase in current efficiency.
