ROOM TEMPERATURE CONTROL APPARATUS HAVING FEEDFORWARD AND FEEDBACK CONTROL AND METHOD

A controller for heating, ventilating and air-conditioning distribution systems,which includes a feedforward and feedback control strategies. The controller has afeedforward control strategy that generates a control signal based on control set points andidentified characteristics of the system, and which adaptively adjusts such set points basedon changes that are measured with respect to the identified characteristics. The controlleris particularly adapted for controlling the temperature during a heating or cooling operationin a controlled space.
