Predicted categories for the known products of aclient and for products unknown to the clients areforecasted by reading first and second groups of data. Thefirst group of data relates to product characteristics andprovides a baseline. The second group of data relatesproducts of a client to product categories of the client.Intersection data are determined based upon a commonalitybetween the first and second groups of data, and unknowndata are determined based upon a lack of commonality betweenthe first and second groups of data. The intersection dataand the unknown data are data mined in order to produce aknown data forecast and an unknown data forecast. The knownforecast includes predicted product categories for theproducts of the client, and the unknown forecast includespredicted product categories for the products unknown to theclient.
