SPECIALITY SURFACTANTS USED AS DYE TRANSFER INHIBITION AGENTS

A surfactant blend which is capable offunctioning as a dye transfer inhibiting agent and as acleaning agent in laundry detergents comprising a blendof at least two amine oxides and at least one cleaningagent selected from betaines, sultaines and mixturesthereof, said amine oxides being present in an amount offrom about 50 to about 99 weight percent and said atleast one cleaning agent being present in an amount offrom about 1 to about 50 weight percent, with the provisothat no polymeric dye transfer inhibition agent such asPVD is present. The surfactant blend may further containone or more amphoteric surfactants which can be added tothe surfactant blend as an additional component or usedin lieu of the amine oxides.
