A technique is disclosed for aggregating investment capital from individual investors for funding of selected investment fund packages using a computer or data network. Consumers or investors are provided with access to pre-packaged investment opportunities via the Internet or World Wide Web. The technique of the present facilitates the aggregation of individual investor contributions in order acquire ownership rights in selected investment funds which may otherwise be unobtainable to the individual investor. The technique of the present invention allows a contributing investor to actively participate in the management and other decisions relating to at least a portion of the investment products which the investor has contributed towards funding or subscribing.
