A process for producing hybrid rice seeds by use of seed colors

A process for producing hybrid rice (Oryza sativa) seeds by use of seed colors comprises the following steps: introducing the mark character of the seed color into existent male-sterile lines or restorer lines which have different seed maturation period; cultivating them into seeds which can express the mark character of the seed color; mixedly sowing seeds of male-sterile line and restorer line in a ratio 5-6:1, either having the marking character and both having the same sowing period; harvesting seeds of mixedly planted parent plants; selecting hybrid rice seeds according to the seed color by photoelectric separator. The process for producing hybrid rice seeds is simple, and the production of hybrid rice seeds is stable and high.
