A quasi-constant current and voltage device for controlling AC load includes a combined capacitor connected between one terminal of AC voltage input and switch k and a switch k whose another end is connected to another terminal of AC voltage input to form a closed loop. Said switch k is parallelly connected with AC load (electric appliance). Its advantages are less number of elements, low cost and elongating the service life of electric appliance.
