Drug target isogenes: polymorphisms in the prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase 2gene

Polynucleotides comprising one or more of 20 novel single nucleotide polymorphisms in the human prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase 2 (PTGS2) gene are described. Compositions and methods for detecting one or more of these polymorphisms are also disclosed. In addition, various genotypes and haplotypes for PTGS2 gene that exist in the population are described.
