ANTI-THROMBIN PEPTIDE FROM ANOPHELES ALBIMANUS SALIVARY GLAND

The DNA and amino acid sequences are disclosed for a novel anti-thrombin peptide, anophelin, one embodiment of which was isolated form the salivary glands of the mosquito iAnopheles albimanus/i. Also disclosed are anti-thrombotic therapeutic applications of anophelin.
