The invention concerns the use of a human pulmonary carcinoma cell line, in particular derived from the NCI-H460 cell line, having the following properties: it expresses independently a fluorescent protein, it is stable towards said protein, it is capable of producing, after being injected into an animal, without orthotopic graft, spontaneous fluorescent pulmonary metastases, it expresses the fluorescent protein in sufficient amount such that a single micrometastasis in said animal can be detected, for early screening of medicine acting on pulmonary metastases.
