A method for the treatment of topical sarcoidosis on equine includes providing a therapeutic substance substantially in the form of an imiquimod 5 % cream and applying the therapeutic substance a plurality of times spaced at intervals from one another to an outer surface of a body of an equine such that the therapeutic substance substantially covers symptomatic manifestations of topical sarcoidosis on the outer surface of the equine body.
