The core (1) is made from a plastic or elastomer material, enclosing the end of a blade (2). It has a pommel (7) at its rear end,with a stepped edge (8) adjacent to it. A surface relief receives an over-moulded finishing layer. The finishing layer is applied by inserting the core into a mould, where it is held in place by a circular rib engaging with the stepped surface, and filling the vacant space of mould by injecting the over-moulding material into it.
