The invention concerns an annular sealing joint having a quadralobal-shaped meridian cross-section (1) designed to be housed in the space delimited by a cylindrical housing (7) and the outer surface (8) of a cylindrical tube substantially coaxial with the housing such that the lobes (3, 4, 5, 6), each limited by a doughnut-shaped surface, define four lines of contact (9, 10, 11, 12) for the joint with the bore (7) for two of them and with the tube (8) for two of them. The invention is characterised in that the meridian radius (R1) of one of the outer lobes (3, 4) is smaller than the meridian radius (R2) of the inner lobes (5, 6).
