The load forecasting method uses measured characteristic electrical energy consumption data, which is integrated over a defined time frame, for comparison with corresponding integrated data provided via a selected model for the energy supply system. The difference between the compared data is used for adapting the parameters of the energy supply system model, within given tolerances, the parameters of the initial model and the updated model compared to identify the load with the greatest load difference.
