ORGANIC THIN FILMS, PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF AND EQUIPMENT THEREFOR; ALIGNMENT LAYERS FOR LIQUID CRYSTALS, PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF AND EQUIPMENT THEREFOR; AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAYS MADE BY USING THE ALIGNMENT LAYERS AND PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
An organic thin film manufacturing method is characterized by including: the film forming step of bringing molecules having a functional group showing reactivity to a functional group having active hydrogen into contact with a base material to be bonded onto the base material, thereby to form a film composed of molecules; and removing step of removing the molecules which are not bonded to the base material using a cleaning agent containing at least one selected from a group of ketone, alkylene glycol and alkoxy alcohol. As a result, an organic thin film manufacturing process, by which an organic thin film with uniform thickness can be formed without using a chlorine-based organic solvent so that a load to environment, is reduced can be provided. Therefore, the industrial significance of the present invention is great.
