Screw-type self-tapping dental implant for attaching a superconstruction

A bone implant (10) which can be screwed into place and which serves as an anchor for dental supraconstructions, comprises a cylindrical post bearing member (12) with a core and a self cutting thread (16). The implant consists of pure titanium (99.9%), has numerous microscopic dents (14) which increase the surface area, and is sprayed with quartz. The core surface has spirally shaped channels (18) which accommodate the bone particles. The post diameter is 0.02-0.06mm smaller than the neck of the implant, so that the crown connects with it.
