JAPANESE DISPLAY CABINET COMPRISING A DOOR-CONTACT CONTROLLED AUTOMATIC LIGHT AND SPECIAL INNER FITTINGS

The body of the cabinet and the rear wall consist of wooden frames made of Chilean rauli. The sides and doors consist of hand-morticed sticks made of rauli and which are alternatingly platted/cross-platted (a total of 128 fields) in addition to glass fillings made of white, sand blasted floating glass. The body frames are protected against warping by limed layers. All said frames consist of mortise and tenon joints and slotted joints. The doors close well at all points and remain dust tight. The location of light switches is no longer in this piece of designer furniture since light control is effected by actuating a turning knob (5).
