Static mixing element (1) comprises a tubular mixer channel (2) with an inner wall forming an outer limit of the cross-section through which material is able to flow; and mixing paddles (4a, 4b). At least two of the paddles are arranged axially behind each other in the mixer channel. At least one mixing paddle located in the flow direction is connected to the inner wall to transfer forces acting in the axial direction from the mixing paddle to the mixer channel. AN Independent claim is also included for a mixer paddle element (3) for arranging in a tubular mixer channel. Preferred Features: Additional elements are also present for effecting form closure between the mixing paddles and the mixer channel.
