It is an object of the present invention to provide a control device that minimizes harmonic components and corresponding switching losses during energization / recovery from a three phase network to a variable voltage link. The control device also has a stiffness to failure of at least one network phase or to phase shift. For this purpose, the digital values SIN (ψu), (SIN (ψv), (SIN (ψw)) of the triangular functions phase shifted at equal intervals from each other at the correct phase position and the associated sign representing the trigonometric function values. The digital signals F (Uu) and F (Uv) are stored in at least one function memory F. The digital signals are digital of the individual network phases measured by the phase detector PD at the comparator stage V. It is compared with the sign signals? (Uu),? (Uv), and? (Uw). If the compared values match, a blocking signal SP is generated, and the power of the converter UM is caused by the blocking signal. The control pulse of the transducer valve can be blocked.
