BEAUTY CLAY FOR POTTERY AND POTTERY FABRICATION THEREBY

PURPOSE: A pottery fabrication using beauty clay is provided to give three-dimensional form by projecting patterns and shapes, which satisfies consumers' sense of beauty. CONSTITUTION: The pottery fabrication using beauty clay comprises the steps of: mixing beauty clay composed of 15-20wt.% of pottery stone, 22-30wt.% of feldspar, 12-20wt.% of silicastone, 7.5-12wt.% of limestone, 25wt.% of white clay, 3-10wt.% of talc, and optionally at least one dye selected from Zr, Ti and Co for white, yellow and blue color, respectively; wet-milling to get viscous beauty clay; primary sintering; forming three-dimensional pottery by repeating coloring on the shapes or patterns to have a thickness or sticking 5-20mm thickness of thin clay plate containing 15-20% of water to the sintered pottery by a binder: glazing, then secondary sintering at 1200-1350C.
