PURPOSE: Provided are a composition for preparation of bolt/nut for KP mechanical joint and bolt/nut containing the same, which are excellent in corrosion-resistance, mechanical processability and mechanical property, and are applied for use in the pipe arrangement of a waterworks, an industrial water supply and sewerage. CONSTITUTION: The composition contains up to 0.20wt% of carbon, up to 1.25wt% of manganese, up to 0.05wt% of sulfur, 0.8wt% or more of chromium, 0.25wt% or more of nickel and 0.20wt% or more of copper, and the balance of the composition comprising iron.
