DISPLAY METHOD OF VARIABLE SCALING OF ELECTRONIC MAP FOR CAR NAVIGATION

摘要

PURPOSE: A display method of variable scaling of electronic map for car navigation is provided to add a digital zoom function for further displaying a variable level between prior fixed level, thereby enhancing the convenience of a driver. CONSTITUTION: The display method of variable scaling of electronic map for car navigation comprises a step preparing a variable reducing/expanding key for variable scaling between fixed scaling levels. Then, a variable level between the fixed levels are decided and then a variable used in transforming a map of a fixed level into a map of the variable level is initialized into 0. Next, the scale of a current level is decided by deciding a current fixed level and then the scale of the next level is decided. Then, a m_scale used to finding a corresponding level among variable levels between the fixed scales is decided. Next, a variable scale to be displayed is decided and the coordinates of map data of a current scale are converted into those of a map data of a variable scale. Finally, the converted coordinates are displayed on an LCD.
