PURPOSE: A mercury compound modified electrode and its production method are provided to have the excellent surface stability and to improve the electrode characteristic. CONSTITUTION: A mercury precursor under micron is prepared by precipitating a soluble mercury salt or shattering a solid mercury compound. The mercury precursor or the soluble mercury compound is dispersed or melted in a high polymer binder solution under 10wt% to be under 50wt% of the mercury precursor. The prepared solution is spread on a surface of a conductive electrode by a dispensing method, a dip coating method or a spin coating method and dried. The mercury compound modified electrode has the excellent surface stability and the signal reproducibility. The mercury compound modified electrode is produced with a simple production process.
