APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING VMS(VOICE MAIL SYSTEM) OF KEY PHONE SYSTEM USING CALLER IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION OF LOCAL LINE

PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling a VMS(Voice Mail System) of a key phone system using caller identification information of a local line is provided to use a digital voice interface of a key station system as a private VMS, so as to supply convenience relating to call usage and to promote operating efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A local loop connector(50) connects a key station system with an external analog telephone network. A central controller(60) entirely controls each element of a key station, including the local loop connector(50). An information detector(80) inputs a signal transmitted from the external analog telephone, and converts the signal into a digital signal by detecting caller identification information, then outputs the digital signal to the central controller(60). An additional service unit(70) supplies additional services such as VMS(Voice Mail System) services by the caller identification information through a storing and a playing process of a voice signal, and supplies an absentee answering service, an extension state announcing service, an automatic call distribution service, a uniform call distribution service, and an extension group call announcing service within the key station system.
