METHOD FOR MANAGING SUBSCRIBERS OF FOREIGN MOBILE TERMINAL IN VISITOR LOCATION REGISTER OF MOBILE SWITCHING CENTER

PURPOSE: The method for managing the subscribers of a foreign mobile terminal in the VLR(Visitor Location Register) of an MSC(Mobile Switching Center) is provided to minimize the change in system design, with maintaining the VLR of a current MCS to the utmost. CONSTITUTION: An MCC(Mobile Country Code) and an MNC(Mobile Network Code) of an IMSI(International Mobile Subscriber Identification) number are checked, and thereby it is determined whether a call is made from a foreign subscriber(600-608). In case of the foreign subscriber, the country code index table of the VLR is checked in order to determine whether the IMSI number is for the country to which a roaming service has been set(614-620). In case of the country number to which the roaming service has been set, a service company index table is checked in order to determine whether the roaming service has been set to a service company(618,620). The subscribers are managed on a basis of the numbers in the country code index table and the service company index table if the roaming service has been set to the service company.
