PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION FOR TREATMENT OF ACUTE AND CHRONIC GASTRITIS AND GASTRIC ULCER

PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing sphingolipids having an effect for the treatment of acute and chronic gastritis and gastric ulcer and inhibiting gastric acid secretion is provided, which can be used as material helpful for protection of detriment of the stomach and the duodenum from gastric acid secretion. CONSTITUTION: This pharmaceutical composition contains sphingolipids selected from the group consisting of phytosphingosine, sphingosine and sphinganine as an active component. The composition can be formed into a tablet, granules and fine granules by using starch and lower substituted hydroxypropylcellulose as an auxiliary substance, hydroxypropylcellulose or carboxymethylcellulose as a binding agent, magnesium stearate or starch as a lubricant and other additives. It is orally administered at a daily dose of 100 to 1,000kg three times a day.
