MICROPROCESSOR HAVING IMPROVED MEMORY MANAGEMENT UNIT AND CACHE MEMORY

PURPOSE: A microprocessor having cache memory and unit for managing improved memory is provided to increase permission for memory access in a data processing system having translation lookaside buffer and a virtual cache memory. CONSTITUTION: A processor(100) includes a memory management unit(110) and CPU core(102) having the cache memory(111). The CPU core(102) communicates with other components in the processor(100) through a bus(104). The CPU core(102) executes an instruction including a general fetch, decoding, and executing. An instruction to perform access to, change and control memory management unit configuration register contents is provided.
