PURPOSE: A clad insertion metal for joining WC containing Co and STD11 and a method for joining the same by the clad insertion metal are provided to improve the joining strength by controlling a joining time period uniformly and a cobalt content and a cooling speed properly. CONSTITUTION: A clad insertion metal for joining a Cemented Carbide Alloy containing cobalt(WC-Co) and an alloy tool steel(STD11) includes a copper thin plate containing zinc and silicon less than 5% in addition to copper, and a nickel alloy plate in which boron and chrome less than 5-25% are added, wherein the nickel alloy plate is integrated with the copper thin plate, the copper thin plate has a thickness of 50-200micrometer, the nickel alloy plate has a thickness of 50-100micrometer, and the copper thin plate is integrated with the copper thin plate by cold rolling to have a thickness of 50-200micrometer.
