APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PREDICTING FRACTURE OF COLD ROLLED STEEL SHEET

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for predicting the fracture of a cold rolled steel sheet are provided to improve life cycle of a facility and obtain reduction effects of a basic unit by diagnosing a large scale fracture of the steel sheet generated during cold rolling in advance so that impact force by the fracture of the steel sheet is not conveyed to the rolling facility. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for predicting the fracture of a steel sheet comprising a plurality of rolling mills (i1,i4,i5) in which load cells (10) are installed so as to measure the rolling loads applied to the steel sheet (15), the apparatus for predicting the fracture of a steel sheet comprises vibration sensors which are installed at chokes of rolls (4) of the rest of rolling mills (i4,i5) except the first rolling mill (i1) rolling the steel sheet (15) among the plurality of rolling mills (i1,i4,i5) so as to measure vibration of rolls (6); transfer means which is installed at housings of the rolling mills (i4,i5) so as to transfer the vibration sensors to a direction of the chokes of the rolls (4); and an analyzing system (40) analyzing vibration data measured from the vibration sensors and rolling load data inputted from a load cell (10) installed at the first rolling mill (i1) among the plurality of rolling mills.
