The way transmitted Dataformated XML between XML Multimedia Communication device and IBM PC

摘要

PURPOSE: A method for making data compatible between a computer and a multimedia communication terminal is provided to convert different data formats to a XML(eXtended Markup Language) data format that can be compatible in both the computer and the terminal, and then apply the XML data format to all documents. CONSTITUTION: The data of a XML format can be opened in every system where a XML viewer is installed, regardless of a hardware type. The data having the XML format is directly edited in the multimedia communication terminal. If the data store in the terminal has not the XML format, it is converted to the data of the XML format before it is used in the terminal. The data included in a XML document is collected in a XML database, so that the data in the XML database can be used whenever the XML database is accessed. The data in the XML database can be used freely without need for additionally installing a database solution in the computer or the terminal.
