Large Size Liquid Crystal Display with Good Quality of Text Mode

PURPOSE: A large-sized LCD device with a prominent character display capacity is provided to form uniformly intervals between a character and a character by reducing a non-display region between LCD panels. CONSTITUTION: The same voltage is applied to a plurality of signal lines of an adjacent pixel displaying same color. A display region is divided into a plurality of divided screens. A width(d) of a non-display region between the divided screens is larger than a value obtained by adding a width(a) of a scan line pad(1) to two times of a width(c) of an optical shielding layers(5,14) of an LCD panel, that is d a+2c). Thereby, a large-sized LCD device is formed with a plurality of LCD panels(100).
