Sodium titanate for ultraviolet absorber and ultraoiolet absorbing composition containning sodium titanate

PURPOSE: Provided is a sunscreen agent composition containing sodium titanate, inorganic compound capable of absorbing ultraviolet rays, which is stable against heat and can give excellent sunscreen function to kinds of fibers. CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises i) sodium titanate such as sodium orthotitanate obtained by mixing TiO2 with NaOH and heating the mixture at 800deg.C or sodium metatitanate obtained by heating and melting TiO2 with Na2CO3 of 5-12 times based on the equivalent ratio; and ii) an organic sunscreen agent selected from 2-hydroxy-4-methoxy benzophenone, 2-hydroxy-4-n-octyloxybenzophenone, 2(2-hydroxy-5-methylphenyl-benzotriazol), and bis-(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-pyperidyl)sebacate.
