Traffic signal control apparatus for correction real time of standard time and method for correction of standard time

PURPOSE: A traffic signal control device for real time compensation of standard time and a method the same are provided to perform a smooth interlocking for a control of traffic signal by compensating for current standard time in real time with time information supplied by a GPS(global positioning system). CONSTITUTION: A GPS receiving unit(110) processes data received from an artificial satellite according to an appointed protocol, and sets a standard time effective flag in the processed serial data. A data process unit(120) records the data processed in the GPS receiving unit(110) temporarily and outputs the data processed according to the appointed protocol. A time information extraction unit(130) interprets the data in which the standard time effective flag is set according to the appointed protocol, and extracts time information from the interpreted data. A standard time compensation unit(140) compensates for a standard time of a traffic signal control device(100) with the extracted time information in real time. A traffic signal control unit(150) controls a traffic signal period according to the compensated time.
