PURPOSE: Provided are a structure having a microporous antifouling layer having a new structure capable of suitably reducing rain streak foulings on surface of the structure and a coating liquid for forming the antifouling layer, and a method for producing the structure. CONSTITUTION: The structure such as tile is produced by uniformly coating outer surface of a substrate such as the tile with fine liquid grains containing silica and a silicious substance for bonding, then heat-treating the resultant substrate at 300-700 deg.C and thereby forming a silicious binder. The structure comprises a hydrophilic microporous antifouling layer having a fine rough surface and a number of micropores communicating from the surface to inner side of the outer surface of the substrate. Within the rough surface a number of silica fine particles are bonded together.
