PURPOSE: A santa claus character agent method on the web based on the JAVA/XML technique is provided to supply a reward to a user using an agent which is grown on a web in accordance with a specific rule and moved in a web page by automatically searching a position without an additional input or operation of a program and to manage and analyze information of each user. CONSTITUTION: It is detected whether a user is a registered member(S2). A JAVA App is transmitted(S8). An URL file, santa claus information, and a reward are received(S9). A santa claus character is selected and a user environment is set up(S10). A JAVA App is driven and a santa agent performs a surfing(S12). A link area is clicked through a web site surfing(S13). The santa agent is met(S14). A congratulating action is operated, a reward is provided, and the santa is grown(S15). The growth of the santa is completed and the reward is paid(S18).
