Personal identification system by identifying the iris of persons on internet network and method thereof

PURPOSE: A personal recognition application system using an iris image recognition in an internet network and a method therefor are provided to receive an iris image, confirm the identity of an owner of the received iris image, and inform whether the confirmed owner is a lawful user to the application devices. CONSTITUTION: The first subscriber terminal unit(20) has an internet matching device(23) for controlling a data input and output with an internet network(10), an iris image input unit(21) for converting an iris image of a user into an electric signal and transmitting the electric signal to the internet matching device(23), and a selection condition input unit(22) for selecting a condition capable of inputting information for checking the identify of the user, selecting a function for newly registering iris image data, or selecting a function for retrieving an iris image transmitted without inputting identify information. A server(30) includes an internet matching device(31) for controlling a data input and output with the internet network(10), and an iris recognition processing device(32) for receiving iris image information through the internet matching device(31) and judging whether data to be identical to received iris image information exist in an iris image reference image database(33).
