PURPOSE: A T1 and E1 time slot allocation circuit of an optical transmission apparatus is provided, which allocate every time slot within T1 and E1 range with a simple command. CONSTITUTION: A clock generator part(101) generates a clock corresponding to a time slot by receiving and branching synchronized system clocks(2M,1.5M)(CK1,CK2) and a clock of frame synchronous signal(8K)(CK3). A command generation control part(103) generates a command to designate a start point and an end point to allocate the time slot. A comparator part(102) compares an output clock value of the clock generator part with data value for time slot allocation of the command generation control part, and generates a signal as long as the equal value if the output clock value is equal to the data value. And a time slot generator part(105) makes a time slot by receiving the start value and the last value by the comparison from the output value of the command generation control part on the basis of a frame synchronous clock(8K) of the clock generator part from the output of the comparator part.
