FORCED EVAPORATION APPARATUS FOR LOW LEVEL RADIOACTIVE LIQUID WASTE

PURPOSE: A forced evaporation apparatus is provided to prevent diffusion of contamination by eliminating entrainment occurred during disposal of low level radioactive liquid waste, while permitting liquid waste disposal to be easily performed. CONSTITUTION: A liquid waste contained in a liquid waste storage reservoir(30) is transferred to an evaporation unit(10) by a pump(20), and the moisture of liquid waste is compulsorily evaporated in the evaporation unit through contact with air. Thus-obtain concentrated liquid waste is transferred to a concentrated liquid waste storage reservoir(90) through an intermediate storage reservoir(80). The evaporation unit includes a plurality of liquid waste distribution pipes; support plates contacting lower ends of each liquid waste distribution pipes; and evaporation clothes arranged to accommodate each liquid waste distribution pipe and support plate.
