PURPOSE: Provided is a horizontal axis surface aerator for oxidation ditch, which has sufficient aeration efficiency by installing a plurality of wings on a shaft in horizontal direction. CONSTITUTION: In a horizontal axis surface aerator for oxidation ditch, the horizontal axis(15) is differently formed with a shaft(14) so that each wings(11,16), shaped like alphabet character 'W', are fixed by a bolt(13) on the outer circumferential surface of the shaft(15) and a trumpet shaped pipe(19) of the horizontal axis connected to the shaft(14). Also, a subsidiary wing(12) is formed between wings.
