PURPOSE: A PID(Proportion pulse integral-differential) input error deciding method for controlling a main throttle actuator in ETCS(Engine Traction Control System) is provided for controlling opening degree of the throttle accurately and fast by calculating ETCS motor control PID error available in ECU(Engine Control Unit). CONSTITUTION: Whether an opened throttle valve angle corresponds to a set value is decided. When the opened throttle valve angle does not correspond to the set value, a moving angle to correspond to the set angle is determined. Whether the throttle valve angle is under the set value or over the set value is decided. A moving direction of the throttle valve angle and the throttle valve to the set value is decided by above decision. PID controller input error value is calculated using motor maximum acceleration/deceleration speed by above result.
