PURPOSE: A method for classifying and transmitting the own country name by classifying an international telephone call in a facsimile device is provided to easily understand information of the country name by classifying and using the own country name for domestic communication and international communication. CONSTITUTION: A method for classifying and transmitting the own country name by classifying an international telephone call in the facsimile device includes the steps of classifying and registering the own country name for domestic communication and international communication in the facsimile device, checking whether or not the facsimile device is set in the own country name classifying mode when a user transmits documents, analyzing the telephone number of the party's facsimile device if the facsimile device is set in the own country name classifying mode, transmitting the own country name for the domestic communication to the party if the analyzed telephone number is a domestic telephone number, and transmitting the own country name for the international communication to the party if the analyzed telephone number is an international telephone number.
