PURPOSE: A device and method for cooling and heating by inverse convection of indoor cool and hot air are provided to improve cooling or heating efficiency, and to reduce energy consumption by forcibly sucking and inversely convecting unused cold or hot air with an air duct. CONSTITUTION: A cooling and heating device comprises an air duct(10) including an air passage(12) for sucking upper hot or lower cold air, and a blower fan(25) is formed in the passage with rotating by a driving unit(20). Cooling is performed with moving down by forcibly lifting and inversely convecting unused cool air in the lower part through the air duct. Heating is performed with moving up by forcibly moving down and inversely convecting unused hot air in the upper part. Efficiency is improved, and energy consumption is reduced with heating or cooling through inverse convection.
