FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: pack of heat exchanger is formed from alternating cladded sheet elements and corrugated member, thus forming heat-exchange channels. Pack is placed in chamber and exposed to evacuation. Chamber is filled with inert gas to built pressure lower than atmospheric pressure, and pack is heated to soldering temperature. Heating is provided by inert gas owing to organization of its circulation through heater and heat-exchange channels of pack. Inert gas is passed through system providing its cleaning from admixtures, and amount of admixtures at inlet of heat- exchange channels and outlet from channels is checked. Direction of inert gas flow in heat- exchange channels can be periodically changed. EFFECT: improved reliability and quality of soldered joints. 2 cl
